The petitioner has approached this Court seeking directions against the respondents to de-freeze the bank account.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that respondent no. 5 has issued a letter to respondent no. 2 to de-freeze the account. He further submits that respondent no. 5 has issued letter to that effect to the Registry of this Court as well. He has placed on record additional affidavit dated 1-12-2025 to that effect along with the documents.

Thus, the petitioner's grievance has been redressed. Even otherwise, this Court in Criminal Writ Petition No. 321/2025 (Kartik Yogeshwar Chatur Vs. Union of India and ors with connected matters) has held that Investigating Agency has no power of
Order cri wp 367.2025.odt attachment/debit freezing a bank account under Section 106 of the BNSS. We have further clarified that Investigating Agency may proceed in terms of Section 106 to debit freeze or attach the bank account. 4.
In view of the above and since grievance of the petitioner stands redressed, the petition is disposed of.
