The applicant is seeking bail in connection with Crime 259 of 2021, registered with Police Station Ural, District Akola, under Sections 7 and 12 of the Prevention of Corruption Act. 2.
Four accused are arraigned in the crime. Three co-accused are released on bail.

Although chargesheet is not filed as yet, considering that the case of the prosecution is that the applicant was trapped accepting Rs. 2,500/- as illegal gratification, it does not appear that releasing the applicant on bail is likely to hamper the investigation. The material witnesses, that is the panchas, are Government servants. It is not even argued that the applicant will pose a flight risk or that he would be in a position to influence the witnesses.

A case for grant of bail is made out.

The applicant be released on bail in connection with Crime 259 of 2021, registered with Police Station Ural, District Akola, under Sections 7 and 12 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, on executing PR bond of Rs. 15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand) with one solvent surety of the like amount. 6.
The applicant shall, within 48 hrs of release from custody, furnish the current address, cell number/s and any other relevant details by placing on record of the jurisdictional Court an appropriate praecipe and shall scrupulously update this information in case of any change.
7.
The applicant shall not, directly or indirectly, make any attempt to influence the witnesses or otherwise tamper with the evidence.
8.
The applicant shall not leave the country without the permission of the trial Court.
