This is an appeal of original accused who was convicted by Special Jude for the offence punishable under Sections 7 and 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of of Corruption Act. The learned counsel for appellant/accused vide pursis (St) No. 4266/2019 has informed that the appellant died on 31.01.2009 and therefore, nobody from his family came forward to give instruction in the matter. The pursis is accompanied by copy of death certificate issued by the Akola Municipal Corporation, Akola.

The prosecution has not disputed about the death of accused. It is apparent that none of the legal representative of accused has come forwarded seeking continuation of appeal for other purposes. Since the sole appellant/accused died, there is no purpose in keeping the matter alive. 4.

In view of above, appeal stands disposed of since abated.
