MAY 9, 2024 Seven workers and three legal representatives have filed applications seeking permission to file on record valuation report of the blocks/quarters retained by them with a direction to consider their offer to purchase the said blocks.

2] Similar such attempt was made by some of the workers (49 in number) by filing Civil Application No. 9/2024. The application was rejected on two grounds; first is that the property under question has been yet not put to auction and, therefore, there arises no question of considering the proposal of the workers to purchase individual block/quarter and second is that the erstwhile workers and the persons, who are occupying the Company premises, were directed to vacate the premises by 30/4/2024.

13i-CAL-19-2024 3] It is not disputed that the present applicants are aware of this order. Despite such status, without vacating the blocks/quarters, unauthorizedly retained by the workers, legal representatives of workers and others, present applications have been filed. The record indicates that the workers, by using one or the other tactic, are trying to prolong the matter and retain the premises. This practice is deprecated.

4] Therefore, the applications are rejected with costs of Rs.10,000/- to be paid by each applicant and deposited with the Company viz. the Official Liquidator within seven working days.
