Hearing was conducted through video conferencing and the learned counsel agreed that the audio and visual quality was proper.

2] I was not inclined to entertain the application. 3] At this stage, the learned counsel Shri Barve submits, on instructions, that the applicant will surrender before the jurisdictional Magistrate within seven days and the limited request would be that considering the present scenario, the application for regular bail may be decided by the learned Magistrate as expeditiously as possible, after the end of the police remand, if any. The submission is reasonable.

4] The application for pre-arrest bail is rejected.

2 ld-vc-cri 456.20.O.odt 5] However, the interim protection shall continue for a week to enable the applicant to surrender before the jurisdictional Magistrate. After the expiry of the police remand, if any, the application for bail shall be decided as expeditiously as possible.

6] The application is disposed of.
