Shri Patil, the learned counsel for the petitioners, states that the issue involved in this petition was also involved in three other writ petitions bearing Writ Petition Nos.2575, 2831 and 3340 of 2014 and this Court had, by an order dated 27th of January, 2015, disposed of the writ petitions with liberty to the Indian Nursing Council to carry out the verification of the institutions in which the students are admitted and if the institutions have made adequate alternate arrangement, the results of the students, who had already undergone training and appeared at the examination, should be declared immediately.
Shri Khare, the learned counsel for the respondents, does not dispute the statement. It is, however, stated that in those petitions the institutions had approached this Court and the instant petition is filed by the students. If the issue in the decided cases and in the instant case is identical, it would be necessary to dispose of this writ
wp2576.14 2/2 petition with similar directions. The fact that this petition is not filed by the institution and is filed by the students would make no difference.
Hence, we dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the respondents to complete the verification at the cost of the institution within a period of four weeks. If the respondents Nursing Council is satisfied about the arrangements, the results of the petitioners, who had already undergone training and appeared at the examination, shall be declared immediately. It is needless to state that some of the petitioners, who are likely to appear at the Summer 2014 Examination in the second year of the Nursing Course, may be permitted to appear at the same. In the circumstances, no order as to costs.
