The petitioner who is a student seeks direction that the tribeclaim of the petitioner as belonging to 'Halbi' (Scheduled Tribe) be adjudicated upon expeditiously. It is submitted that the petitioner's sister has been issued a validity certificate by the Scrutiny Committee on 14/03/2018.

Considering the fact that the petitioner is a student and her sister has been issued a validity certificate, the respondent is directed to decide the petitioner's tribe-claim within a period of four months from the date of the petitioner's appearance before the Scrutiny Committee. To facilitate such adjudication, the petitioner shall appear before the Scrutiny Committee on 01/07/2022. Rule is made absolute in aforesaid terms. No costs. (Urmila Joshi-Phalke, J.) (A. S.
