The petitioners are the State Government employees working in the Revenue Department. The glaring illegality is in the transfers and postings of the employees is sought to be canvassed in the present writ petition, thereby demonstrating that the employees, who have completed the tenure of six years are posted in the very same office by just changing their tables. Such conduct, according to the counsel appearing for the petitioners goes contrary to the provisions of the Maharashtra Government Servants Regulation of Transfers and Prevention of Delay in Discharge of Official Duties Act, 2005. 3.

With the assistance of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, we have perused the documents which are placed on record in support of his contentions.

It is also claimed that the petitioners have brought the said fact to the notice of the District Collector, who is the Competent Authority under whose supervision and approval the transfers are effected. 5.

In the aforesaid background, we deem it appropriate to direct the Collector, Amravati to consider the claim of the petitioners which is sought to be canvassed in the present Writ Petition viz. the representation annexed to

2 wp2429.2025.odt the writ petition at Annexure-G dated 17th April, 2025 before effecting the transfers of the employees in the next Annual General Transfer. 6.
