The only prayer made by the petitioners is for expeditious consideration of their applications filed under Section 28A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894. According to the petitioners, pursuant to the Award passed in LAC No.01/2013 as well as LAC No.03/2013, decided in the year 2014, they are entitled for enhanced compensation. The applications filed under Section 28A of the said Act are dated 3-1-2015.

In view of above, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent No.1 to consider and decide the applications filed by the petitioners under Section 28A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 expeditiously and preferably by the end of December 2023. The same shall be done in accordance with law.
