Criminal Application (APPP) No.867/2024 has been filed on behalf of the Investigating Officer seeking permission to file charge-sheet.

In view of the order dated 24.09.2019, the interim order was passed that the Investigating Officer shall not file charge-sheet without seeking leave of the Court. Now, the investigation is complete and, therefore, the Investigating Officer wants to file the charge-sheet. The offences which have been carved out are Section 294 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s) and 3(2)(7) of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989. In view of the nature of the offences and the fact that the investigation is complete, the Investigating Officer is permitted to file the charge-sheet with a special Court within a period of two weeks from today. Leave is granted to the applicant to amend the application, if advised, in view of filing of the charge-sheet. 4.

Such amendment, if any, be carried out on or before 05.07.2024 and the copy of the same be given to the other side in advance.
