Heard Shri J.B. Kasat, learned counsel for the petitioners and Ms. N.P. Mehta, learned AGP for respondent Nos. 1 & 2.

The petitioners elected as Councillors of respective Nagar Parishad, Nandgaon Khandeshwar on 02.11.2015 seek expeditious disposal of their caste claim. It is obvious that they have submitted necessary undertaking while filing nomination papers and, therefore, have been permitted to contest.

Respondent Nos. 1 & 2 have still not filed any reply. Nobody appears for respondent No. 3.

The learned AGP is seeking adjournment as instructions are still awaited.

In this situation, we reject that request. We direct respondent No. 1 - Scrutiny Committee to complete verification within a period of six months from today. 6.

Writ Petitions are thus partly allowed and disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. JUDGE JUDGE *GS.
