Challenge in the present writ petition is to the order dated 13.03.2018 passed by the Grievance Committee. Shri B.G. Kulkarni, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is aggrieved by the part of the order refusing to grant certain service benefits as prayed for. Under provisions of Section 81(1)(b) of the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016 remedy of filing an appeal before the University and College Tribunal is available. He, therefore, seeks leave to withdraw the writ petition with liberty to file such appeal.

The writ petition is permitted to be withdrawn. If the appeal under Section 81(1)(b) of the said Act is filed within a period of four weeks from today, the appeal shall be decided on its own merits without going into the question of delay. The points raised in the writ petition are kept open.

Disposed of as withdrawn.
