Heard Shri M.K. Kulkarni, learned counsel for the petitioner.

The grievance of the petitioner is, though respondent No. 5 - Tahsildar, Chimur, District - Chandrapur has heard him on allegations of illegal transport of metal on 14.04.2018, no orders have been passed till date though period of about three weeks is expiring.

Shri S.M. Ukey, learned Additional GP for respondent Nos. 1 to 7 points out that prima facie, the detention of truck is because of failure to produce T.P. He also points out that as yet this Court has not issued any notice to the respondents.

We find that the interest of justice can be met with by directing the petitioner to appear before respondent No. 5 - Tahsildar on 08.05.2018 at 12.00 O' clock in the noon. Respondent No. 5 - Tahsildar shall pass suitable orders in the matter as per law at the earliest and in any case within next four days thereafter. If necessary, an opportunity of hearing shall be extended to the petitioner.

If the orders are already passed, those orders shall be communicated to the petitioner on 08.05.2018 itself.

With these directions and keeping all rival contentions open, we dispose of the present writ petition. No order as to costs.

An ordinary copy of this order be furnished to the parties.
