When confronted with the order of this Court in Writ Petition No.2590/2004, the learned Counsel for the

13 51-WP-4924-2022.odt litigating sides concede the position that the order passed by this Court has attained finality.

In the light of the same, more particularly para 13 of the order in Writ Petition No.2590/2004 which is reproduced hereinbelow :- "13.................................. It is further made clear that though the contesting respondents would not be entitled to back wages, they shall be granted continuity in service from the date of their initial appointment was made for the purpose of all other service benefits."

Thus, the entitlement of contesting respondent is upheld and endorsed to the extent of continuity in service from the date of their respective initial date of appointment, for the purpose of all other benefits, however, in exclusion of back-wages. As such, in light of the aforesaid observations, the petition is disposed of.

4.

Needless to state that the benefits shall be worked out by the University and confer the consequential benefits upon the employees respondents. This exercise shall be completed within a period of three months.

5.

Civil application(s), if any, shall stand disposed of. No order as to costs.
