The applicant is a Doctor who approached this Court anticipating arrest in Crime 337/2020 registered with Police Station Old City, Akola for offences punishable under section 406 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code. 2.

This Court protected the applicant vide order dated 05.10.2020.

During the course of hearing, this Court found substance in the submission of the learned Senior Counsel Mr. Khapre that the dispute is essentially civil in nature. This Court, therefore, requested the learned Senior Counsel to use his good offices and to persuade the applicant to arrive at some dignified and mutually acceptable settlement.

Due to the efforts of the learned Senior Counsel

aba588.20.O.odt Mr. Khapre, which the Court appreciates, the applicant and the complainant have arrived at a mutual settlement, the terms whereof are recorded in deed of settlement dated 05.01.2021, which is filed along with praecipe dated 05.01.2021.

In view of the positive developments, the interim protection granted vide order dated 05.10.2020 is made absolute.
