Shri N. D. Jambhule, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the claim of the petitioner for issuing validity certificate as that of belonging to 'Mana' Scheduled Tribe is pending with the Scrutiny Committee since last more than one year. He submits that the petitioner is intending to secure admission for Medical Science Course under S.T. category for the academic year 2024-2025. 3.

It is submitted that petitioner's father Pramod Sampat Barekar and other three relatives in the family have already been granted validity certificate as that of belonging to 'Mana' Scheduled Tribe. Hence it is prayed that the Scrutiny Committee be directed to issue validity certificate to the petitioner within a period of two weeks.

4. Shri A. A. Madiwale, learned Assistant Government Pleader submits that in view of communication dated 18/06/2024 received from the Scrutiny Committee, Nagpur, time of three months be granted as the proposal is pending with the Vigilance Cell.

In the aforesaid backdrop, the petitioner is directed to appear before the Scrutiny Committee on 01/07/2024 with all the relevant documents. 6.

The Scrutiny Committee is directed to decide the claim of the petitioner in any case within a period of eight weeks from 01/07/2024. 7.

The writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
