The applicant - woman came to be arrested on 23.7.2021, in Crime 440/2021, registered with Anti Corruption Bureau Balapur, Akola, for offence punishable under section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 on the basis of complaint made by Mr. Shiwaji Mankhair that the applicant demanded illegal gratification of Rs. 4,000/-.

According to the prosecution, a trap was laid which failed since the bribe was not accepted. However, on the premise that the applicant demanded bribe, offence punishable under section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act is registered.

Considering that the applicant is a woman, that even otherwise she is in no position to tamper with the evidence which appears to be certain conversion which is recorded, the applicant is entitled to bail.

The applicant be released on bail in connection with Crime 440/2021, registered with Anti Corruption Bureau Balapur, Akola, for offence punishable under section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, on executing PR bond of Rs. 16,000/- (Rupees Sixteen Thousand) with one solvent surety of the like amount.

The applicant shall not, directly or indirectly, make any attempt to influence the witnesses or otherwise tamper with the evidence.
7.
The applicant shall not leave the country without the permission of the trial Court.
