In all these writ petitions challenge is raised to the formation of Wards for the elections to various Municipal Councils/Zilla Parishads. Consideration of these writ petitions was adjourned since the Division Bench at Aurangabad had considered similar challenge raised in Writ Petition No.6765 of 2022 (Anant s/o Baburao Golait (Gahilot) vs. The State of Election Commission of Maharashtra and ors) along with connected writ petitions. That group of writ petitions has been decided on 5.7.2022 by holding that it would not be permissible to interfere in writ jurisdiction at the stage when such interference was sought.

Hence, for the reasons assigned in the aforesaid judgment, these writ petitions stand dismissed with no order as to costs.

Needless to state that the petitioners are free to avail other remedies as are available in law. The points raised in that regard are kept open.
