DATE : 18.01.2016 None for the petitioners.

With the assistance of the learned Assistant Government Pleader, we have perused the writ petition. According to the petitioners, the petitioner no.1 as well as respondent no.3 had contested an election to the post of Councillor of Municipal Council, Balapur. The respondent no.3 was elected on a seat reserved for the Other Backward Class Category. The petitioner, therefore, challenged the caste validity certificate issued to the respondent no.3 on that count. It is stated that the petitioner no.1 who had contested the said elections expired during the pendency of the writ petition. Due to passage of time, the relief sought in the writ petition appears to have been rendered infructuous. Hence, the writ petition is disposed of with no order as to costs. JUDGE JUDGE Wadkar
