The challenge is raised to the order dated 23/04/2024 passed by the Divisional Commissioner, Amravati Division, by which the petitioners are disqualified for non-payment of taxes under Section 14(1)[h] of the Maharashtra Village Panchayat Act, 1959 (for short, 'the Act of 1959').

The petitioners have failed to demonstrate that after presentation of bills the taxes were paid within the stipulated period of three months as mandated by Section 14(1)(h) of Maharashtra Village Panchayat Act. The concurrent finding of fact has been rendered by both the authorities below. As such, considering failure of petitioners to pay the bills presented within time no interference is warranted in the order. 4.

Resultantly, writ petition stands dismissed. No order as to cost.
