The only direction sought by the petitioner is for expeditious decision of the proceedings for verification of the petitioner's caste claim. The petitioner claims to belong to 'Halbi Scheduled Tribe'. His caste certificate has been submitted to the Scrutiny Committee for verification. It is informed that the report of the Vigilance Cell has been duly served on the petitioner on 11.11.2020. However, the proceedings have not been decided till today.

Considering the aforesaid, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the Scrutiny Committee to decide the verification proceedings of the petitioner's tribe certificate on its own merit within a period of two months from the date of production of this order. The decision taken be communicated to the petitioner accordingly. All points on merit are kept open.
