By this contempt petition, the petitioner seeks action against the respondents for willful disobedience of the directions issued by this Court by the order dated 24.6.2014 in Writ Petition No.1638 of 2014.

According to the petitioner, though this Court had directed the respondents to complete the inquiry into the allegations made by the petitioner within a period of six months from 24.6.2014, the respondents had not completed the inquiry within the said time.

The respondent Nos.3 to 7 have filed an affidavitin-reply on 4.2.2016. It is stated in the affidavit-in-reply that in pursuance of the directions issued by this Court, the Committee had completed the inquiry on 27.11.2014 and the said order is communicated to the District Deputy Registrar of the Co-operative Societies. It is stated that since the order is complied with, the contempt proceedings may be dropped.

CP186.15 2/2 On a reading of the order dated 24.6.2014 as also the affidavit-in-reply filed on behalf of the respondent Nos.3 to 7 it appears that the order of this Court stands complied with. This Court had only directed the completion of the inquiry within a period of six months and no other direction was issued. It appears that the inquiry is completed within a period of six months.

Hence, the contempt petition is disposed of with no order as to costs.
