By this writ petition, the petitioner seeks entitlement to family pension. It is her case that her father was serving with the Central Railways and he retired on 28.02.1992. He expired on 19.11.2008. The mother of the petitioner predeceased her husband. After the death of petitioner's father, she sought release of family pension in her favour. Various representations were made and as the family pension was not released in her favour the present proceedings have been filed.

Today the learned counsel for the respondents has tendered a copy of the communication dated 26.07.2022 issued on behalf of the Central Railways to the State Bank of India through its Manager in which it has been stated that the amount of monthly family pension be disbursed to the petitioner. The said communication is taken on record and marked 'A' for identification.

In view of aforesaid, the purpose of filing the writ petition stands served. It is therefore disposed of. No costs.
