By this Criminal Writ Petition, the petitioner seeks the reduction of the sentence of his imprisonment from 22 years to 20 years.

Since the petitioner had committed the offence of murder with the help of the weapons like spear and stick, the respondents have rightly held that the petitioner should undergo the sentence for a period of 22 years before his release.

Since there is no merit in the Writ Petition, we dismiss the same with no order as to costs.
