In view of the subsequent events, whereby the provisions of Maharashtra Zilla Parishad District Services (Recruitment) Rules, 1967 came to be amended and thereby, inducted Rule 8-A, which will cause great prejudice to the petitioners as argued by the learned counsel for the petitioners.

It is further pointed out that in view of this amendment present petition has become infructuous and accordingly, prayer made for withdrawal of the present writ petition with liberty to file a fresh raising a challenge to such amendment, is granted.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of, as withdrawn, with liberty as prayed for.
