The petitioner wanted correction in his date of birth from 25.09.1956 to 06.08.1958. The employer did not accept and accordingly he superannuated in 2014. He approached the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal (MAT) in O.A. No. 678 of 2014 and it was rejected on 17.10.2016. Thereafter present petition has been filed on 04.05.2018. The delay and laches are, therefore, obvious. 3.

The petitioner received the order informing him about superannuation on 30.08.2014 and even before that he was aware of his recorded date of birth.

We are, therefore, not inclined to intervene in this jurisdiction insofar as prayers in the petition are concerned. If the petitioner seeks correction in the date of birth for any other purpose, it will be open for him to approach the competent forum for that.

Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
