The petitioner has relied on the validity granted to the cousin sister namely Krutika daughter of Anandrao Deshmukh in addition to the entry in the Jamabandi of Balavant Tukaram Deshmukh of 1920. Both these documents ought to have been expressly dealt with in the order impugned.

If the Committee was of the opinion that these documents cannot be accepted, the same should be based on the cogent evidence of the material to that effect. The Committee has failed to carry out any Vigilance enquiry in the matter. 4.

In view of above, the order impugned is not sustainable and the same is quashed and set aside.

We direct the petitioner to appear before the Committee on 22nd July, 2024.

The Committee shall pass an order within a period of four weeks thereafter.

The petition stands disposed of.
