By this writ petition, the petitioner seeks two reliefs. The first prayer is to decide his representation dated 12.04.2018 that has been made to the respondent no.2 seeking benefit of the scheme of time bound promotion. Other prayer made is for a direction to be issued to the appellate Authority to decide the appeal preferred by the petitioner under Section 19(1) of the Right to Information Act, 2005. On 23.02.2023 the learned In-charge Government Pleader was requested to obtain instructions from the respondent no.1 as regards the fate of the appeal preferred by the petitioner under the Right to Information Act. Today, on instructions, it is informed that the said appeal stands decided on 24.01.2019 in view of the application made by the petitioner that the information sought by him had been received.

Hence, prayer clause (ii) now does not survive. Insofar as prayer clause (i) is concerned, it is directed that the petitioner's representation dated 12.04.2018 be decided by the respondent no.2 within a period of six weeks of receiving the copy of this order, if the same is not yet decided.
