The applicant is arrested on 10.4.2018 in connection with Crime No.149/2018 for offence punishable under Section 65E of the Maharashtra Prohibition Act. The accusations against the applicant are that though sale of liquor in Gadchiroli district is prohibited, 21 bottles of mouwa liquor and 51 bottles of country liquor are seized from the house of the applicant. 3.

The applicant claims that the alleged seizure is at the back of the applicant when she was not at her house. 4.

The application is opposed on the ground that earlier also two cases for the offences under the Maharashtra Prohibition Act are registered against the applicant.

Be that as it may, considering the fact that the .....2/-

ba496.18 3 applicant is a woman aged about 55 years and as the non-applicant has not been able to point out that further custody of the applicant is necessary for investigation, the following order is passed: The applicant, having been arrested in connection with Crime No.149/2018 for offence punishable under Section 65E of the Maharashtra Prohibition Act, be released on bail on executing P.R. Bond for Rs.25,000/- and cash security of Rs.30,000/-. The applicant shall attend every date before the Trial Court unless granted exemption by the Trial Court.
