By this writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to hold the election to the post of Members in District Planning Committee, which are vacant on account of expiry of the term.

Shri Balpande, the learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents, states on the basis of the affidavit-in-reply that steps are being taken to fill up the vacancies and communications are exchanged between the authorities for taking appropriate action. It is stated that the vacancies would be filled in, as early as possible. In view of the statement made in the affidavit-inreply, we dispose of the writ petition with no order as to costs.
