The applicant woman is apprehending arrest in Crime 279/2019 registered with Police Station Hingna, Nagpur for offence punishable under section 454, 457 and 380 of the Indian Penal Code.

The applicant has attended the police station in compliance with the conditions of interim pre-arrest protection and the seizure is already effected. The learned APP Mrs. Deshpande fairly states that she has instructions that custodial interrogation is not necessary. The fair statement of the learned APP apart, there appears to be a civil dispute since even prior to lodging the report the complainant has filed suit for specific performance of contract.

The interim protection granted vide order dated 21.10.2020 is confirmed.
