In view of the directions, which we propose to issue, we do not find it necessary to issue notice to respondent No.3.

The limited grievance of the petitioner is that the appeal filed by him under Section 39(3) of the Maharashtra Village Panchayats Act is pending before the Hon'ble Minister, Rural Development Department, Government of Maharashtra and that neither the appeal nor the pending application for interim relief filed therein, is being decided.

In this situation, we dispose of the petition with the observations that the Hon'ble Minister would be expected to decide either the stay application or the appeal finally within eight weeks from the date on which

2 wp3567.17 the petitioner appears before the Hon'ble Minister with an authenticated copy of this order.

We direct the petitioner to appear before the Hon'ble Minister on 30-06-2017.

With these directions, the petition is disposed of with no order as to costs.
