By this petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to decide the application filed by the petitioner for appointment on compassionate ground.

The father of the petitioner was working with the respondents and was declared medically unfit on 20.11.12. The father of the petitioner died while in service on 05.09.2013. The petitioner made a representation to the respondent no.3 for appointment on compassionate ground on 13.09.2013. Though the petitioner sent reminders and legal notice to the respondent no.3 in the matter of his appointment on compassionate ground, it is the case of the petitioner that the respondent no.3 has not decided the representation.

Since the only grievance of the petitioner is in regard to the non-consideration of the representation-appeal made by the petitioner for his appointment on compassionate ground, we had issued notice of final disposal to the respondents on 01.09.2015. Though the respondents are duly served, none appeared on behalf of the respondents on the previous date of hearing and none appears for the respondents, today also.

WP4496-15 Since the prayer made by the petitioner is innocuous, we dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the respondent no.3 to decide the representation-appeal of the petitioner for his appointment on compassionate ground as early as possible and within a period of three months.

Order accordingly. No costs.
