Shri Bute, the learned counsel for the petitioner, states that the grievance of the petitioner would stand redressed, if the scrutiny committee is directed to decide the caste claim of the petitioner, within a time frame. It is stated that the caste claim of the petitioner is pending since long.

Shri Balpande, the learned Assistant Government Pleader, on instructions from the scrutiny committee, states that the caste claim of the petitioner is pending and the same would be decided as early as possible.

In view of the statement made by the learned Assistant Government Pleader in respect of the pendency of the caste claim, we dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the scrutiny committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner as early as possible and positively within one year from the date of appearance of the petitioner before the scrutiny committee. The petitioner undertakes to appear before the scrutiny committee on 29th August, 2016. Order accordingly. No costs. JUDGE JUDGE Gulande
