The only prayer made by the petitioner is for a direction to the respondents to conduct the election to the Agriculture Produce Market Committee, Sironcha, within the time frame.

Shri Gangane, the learned Assistant Government Pleader, states on instructions from the respondent no.2District Deputy Registrar, Co-operative Societies, Gadchiroli that the election process for the Agriculture Produce Market Committee would be commenced within a period of fifteen days and the election process would be completed/concluded within four months. It is stated that the Government Officer is managing the affairs of the Agriculture Produce Market Committee, as an administrator.

In view of the statement made by the learned Assistant Government Pleader, the learned counsel for the petitioner states that the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed.

WP3298-16 Hence, by accepting the statement made by the learned Assistant Government Pleader that would be binding on the respondent no.2, we dispose of the writ petition with an observation that the Government Officer/Administrator, who is in-charge of the Agriculture Produce Market Committee would continue to act as the Administrator, till the elections are concluded.

Order accordingly. No costs.
