CORAM

S. B. SHUKRE AND S. M. MODAK, JJ.

DATE :

21st December, 2018 It is seen that after filing this application, nobody has ever appeared on behalf of the applicant. This matter was listed on board for hearing on 12th October, 2018. But, neither the applicant nor his learned counsel were present.

By this application, what is sought is quashing of the FIR filed against this applicant and the basis of the FIR is the successful trap laid against the applicant. It is alleged that the applicant was caught red handed while accepting an amount of Rs.5,000/- as a favour for doing some official work. This amount has also, it is further alleged, been recovered from the applicant. It is informed by learned APP for the non-applicant no.1-State that the applicant has been placed under suspension.

Considering the continued absence of the applicant and also what emerges from the allegations made in the FIR and the law applicable to the same, we are not inclined to entertain this application. Application stands dismissed.
