The writ petition is disposed of with the consent of the learned counsel for the parties on the following terms :
(1) The respondents would give deemed date of promotion to the petitioner on the post of Junior Engineer (E & M) from 24.7.1998, as an Assistant Engineer from 25.6.1999, as a Deputy Executive Engineer from 2.11.2006 and as an Executive Engineer from 4.5.2011, the dates on which the other Engineers appearing at the interview, were promoted.
(2) The petitioner would not be entitled to any monetary benefits flowing from the deemed date of promotion, till this date, though the petitioner would be entitled to the other benefits flowing from the deemed date of promotion.
(3) The respondents would pass the order of promoting the petitioner as a Executive Engineer, with effect from 4.5.2011, within a period of six weeks.
(4) No order as to costs.
