Heard Shri S.G. Karmarkar, learned counsel for the petitioners and Shri N.S. Rao, learned AGP for the respondents.

In the first half, after hearing the matter, the matter was adjourned to second half to show that the Collector, while determining the compensation amount, has not followed the provisions of Section 24(1) read with Section 26 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894. Accordingly, now we have looked into the relevant papers.

The impugned award in para 28 mentions grant of solatium at 100%. It is in accordance with Section 30 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (hereinafter referred to as the Act). Therefore, it cannot be said that the provisions of Section 24(1)(a) of the Act are violated in present matter.

Hence, with liberty to the petitioner to take appropriate steps if he is not satisfied with the amount granted, we dispose of the present petition. No costs. JUDGE JUDGE *GS.
