Vide order dated 21.10.2020, the applicant was granted interim protection with the following observations: "5] The report is lodged on 28.12.2018.

According to the informant, the applicant introduced him to his brother Ashok, and he induced the applicant to part with a substantial amount under the pretext of supply of white musli.

6] The submission is that the applicant is falsely implicated. It is submitted that after the crime was registered the applicant was summoned for interrogation. The applicant attended and co-operated with the Investigating Officer. The statement of the applicant is also recorded. However, on 05.10.2020 the applicant was summoned by the police who threatened arrest unless the applicant produces his brother Ashok.

According to the applicant, he has nothing to do with Ashok, who is his step brother and who has left town with family.

Today, the case diary is made available for my perusal.

Perusal of the material in the case diary would prima facie show, that it is difficult to connect the applicant with the alleged misdeeds of his brother Ashok. 4.

The applicant has attended the Police Station in compliance with the conditions of pre-arrest protection. 5.

The interim protection granted vide order dated 21.10.2020 is made absolute with the only modification that till the chargesheet is filed, the applicant shall attend the concerned Police Station, as and when required by the Investigating Officer.
