The applicant is apprehending arrest in Crime 454/2020 registered with Police Station Pandharkawada, Tahsil Kelapur, District Yavatmal for offence punishable under section 11(1)(g), 11(1)(d), 11(1)(j) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Act, 1960 and section 5 of the Maharashtra Animal Preservation Act and section 279 read with section 34 of the Indian Penal Code. 2.

Vide order dated 21.10.2020 the applicant was granted interim pre-arrest protection. It is not the case of the prosecution that the applicant has not complied with the conditions. As a fact, a fair statement is made that the investigation is complete and the charge-sheet is filed. 3.

The applicant has no criminal antecedents. He is the owner of the vehicle in which the cattle were illegally transported and the only material on record appears to be a

Since custodial interrogation is not necessary and even otherwise the investigation is complete, the interim pre-arrest protection granted vide order dated 21.10.2020 is made absolute.
