CORAM : SMT. VASANTI A. NAIK AND MRS. SWAPNA JOSHI, JJ.

DATED : JUNE 10, 2016.

By this writ petition, the petitioner challenges the order of the respondent no.2, dated 12.1.2000 granting the land in question to the respondent no.3 for setting up and running a brick-kiln. It appears, on hearing the learned Assistant Government Pleader and on a perusal of the impugned order, that the permission to set up and run the brick-kiln was to expire in the year 2000. It further appears that, by an interim order, dated 2.5.2000, this court had restrained the respondent-authority from granting any further permission to the respondent no.3 or any other person for setting up a brick-kiln. In view of the expiry of the term for which the permission was granted, it appears that the cause for filing the writ petition has been rendered infructuous.

In view of the aforesaid, we dispose of the writ petition with no order as to costs. Rule stands discharged. JUDGE JUDGE Gulande
