DATED : 12th JUNE, 2024 This petition takes exception to the order dated 06.06.2024, passed by the Divisional Joint Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Amravati Division, Amravati in Revision No.19/2024.

The petitioner has filed the abovesaid revision against the order dated 24.05.2024, passed by the Assistant Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Risod, disqualifying the petitioner from continuing as Member of Seva Sahakari Sanstha, Yeoti in terms of Section 73CA(vii) of the Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act, 1960.

By the order impugned, the learned Divisional Joint Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Amravati has rejected the application filed by the present petitioner for stay.

Admittedly, the revision is still pending before the Divisional Joint Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Amravati and therefore it would not be appropriate to examine the matter on merits.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, it would be appropriate to direct the Divisional Joint Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Amravati Division, Amravati to decide the revision application filed by the petitioner within a stipulated period and to stay the order of Assistant Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Risod till the decision of the revision. Hence, the following order is passed.

(i).

The Divisional Joint Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Amravati Division, Amravati shall decide the revision within a period of two months from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.

(ii).

Till the decision of the revision, the order passed by the Assistant Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Risod, District Washim dated 24.05.2024, shall remain stayed.

(iii).

The petition is disposed of in the above terms. No costs.
