By letter dated 05/08/2025 received from the District Judge-12 and Additional Sessions Judge seeks an extension of six months for disposal of Sessions Case No. 398/2022. It has been submitted that the Presiding Officer has recently been transferred to the said Court and has only recently taken charge. Furthermore, the learned APP intends to examine approximately 15 to 20 witnesses, which requires additional time and therefore, six months period be extended.

Considering the reasons mentioned in the application, the period is extended up to six months. The learned District Judge shall not seek further extension.

Inform the District Court accordingly.
