(PER : A.S. CHANDURKAR, J.) RULE. Rule made returnable forthwith and heard the learned Counsel for the parties.

The tribe claim of the petitioner of belonging to "Thakur" Scheduled Tribe is pending with the Scrutiny Committee. According to the petitioner, similar claims of his father as well as brother have been decided by this Court in Writ Petition Nos. 8244/2018 and 8237/2018 respectively. The petitioner is a Student and hence seeks expeditious adjudication of his tribe claim.

In light of the aforesaid and as the Scrutiny Committee has already conducted the Vigilance Enquiry, it is directed to take a decision on the petitioner's tribe claim within a period of eight weeks from the date of appearance of the petitioner before the Scrutiny Committee. The petitioner shall appear before the Scrutiny Committee on 18/07/2022 to facilitate such adjudication. The order passed be communicated to the petitioner.

Rule is made absolute in aforesaid terms with no order as to costs.
