The applicant is apprehending arrest in Crime 256/2018 registered with Badnera Police Station, Amravati for offence punishable under section 376(2)(n), 506 of the Indian Penal Code and section 67(c) of the Information Technology Act. The substratum of the prosecution case is that the applicant and the complainant were in a relationship. A promise to marry was given and the complainant was induced to have sexual relationship. The applicant did not fulfill the promise of marriage and married some other girl.

2] The applicant has attended the Police Station pursuant to the interim order and it is not the contention of the prosecution that he has not co-operated with the Investigating Officer.
