IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT BOMBAY

NAGPUR BENCH : NAGPUR CRIMINAL APPLICATION (APL) NO. 424 OF 2015 (Dilip Laxmanrao Yedatkar & Ors. vs. State of Maharashtra thr. PSO, PS, Amravati & Anr.) Office Notes, Office Memoranda of Coram, appearances, Court's orders Court's or Judge's orders or directions and Registrar's orders.

CORAM : B.P. DHARMADHIKARI & P.N. DESHMUKH, JJ.

JULY 10, 2015.

Heard Shri Agrawal, learned counsel for the applicant and Shri Dubey, learned APP for respondent No. 1.

Perused the news item and also First Information Report. The learned counsel for the applicant submits that the publication was in larger interest.

The learned APP disputes this. According to him, without proper verification and court orders, the publication could not have been done. He further states that even in that situation, while publishing such news items, the identity needed to be avoided. We do not wish to go into merits of the controversy at all at this stage. Keeping all contentions of the applicant open and with liberty to raise it before the learned J.M.F.C. Court, Amravati, in accordance with law, we dispose of the Criminal Application. JUDGE JUDGE *GS.
