Considering the limited prayer made in the Writ Petition by which the petitioner seeks expeditious consideration of his Tribe Claim, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. Rule. Rule made returnable forthwith. Heard finally learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. Learned AGP waives service of notice on behalf of the respondents. 4.

Pursuant to the order passed in Writ Petition No. 2007 of 2023 (Sarthak Digambar Gite Vs. The State of Maharashtra and ors.), the petitioner has been issued the Tribe Certificate of belonging to 'Thakur' Scheduled Tribe on 05.04.2023. The petitioner seeks expeditious consideration for the said claim on the ground that he desires to undertake further education in the subject of 'Health Science'. It is submitted that within a period of one month, the Scrutiny Committee would be directed to decide such claim.

The learned AGP submits that reasonable time may be granted to the Scrutiny Committee to consider the said claim since the Scrutiny Committee is seized of various proceedings, seeking verification of claims.

Since the petitioner seeks to undertake higher studies, the Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the Scrutiny Committee to consider and verify the petitioner's claim of belonging to 'Thakur' Scheduled Tribe within a period of three months from the date of petitioner's appearance before the Scrutiny Committee. To facilitate such consideration, the petitioner shall appear before the Scrutiny Committee on 30.06.2023. The Committee to take all steps to decide the claim within the aforesaid period.

Rule is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. No order as to costs.
