Perused Section 48[7] and 48[8] of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966.

It is apparent that instead of taking bond from the petitioner in the sum equivalent to the value of the seized truck, he was asked to deposit that amount in cash. This controversy stands redressed because of orders of this Court dated 27.06.2017 in present matter.

Petitioner accordingly has furnished

Order 0708wp3631.17 necessary undertaking and bond to respondent Sub Divisional Officer.

In view of this, the proceedings under Section 48[7] and 48[8] of the above Act against the petitioner, if pending, can be prosecuted further by the respondents as per law.

With this clarification we dispose of the present petition. No costs.
