Heard.

None appears for the petitioners and respondent Nos.1 and 3. Shri A.S. Fulzele, learned Assistant Government Pleader, appears for respondent Nos.2 and 4.

It appears that this writ petition was to be heard along with Writ Petition No.2550 of 1997. The common order has been passed in that writ petition and in the present writ petition on 18.1.1999.

The present petitioners had filed a civil application for intervention in Writ Petition No.2550 of 1997. The Division Bench of this .....2/-

wp2728.98 Court after hearing the parties found that the intervenors (present petitioners) were candidates duly selected by the Service Selection Board for Employment. It, therefore, verified interim orders passed by the Court in Writ Petition No.2550 of 1997 and allowed the Municipal Council to issue appointment orders to the regularly selected candidates i.e. petitioners herein.

Writ Petition No.2550 of 1997 has been later on dismissed for want of prosecution.

It appears that in the light of the said order, the grievance of the present petitioners is already redressed.

However, since nobody appears for the petitioners, the writ petition is dismissed in default. The Rule is discharged. No costs.
