The applicants apprehend their arrest in connection with Crime No.49/2017 registered at Police Station Channi for the offences punishable under Section 498A, 306 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code. Heard Shri A. R. Deshpande, learned Counsel for the applicants and Shri S. B. Bissa, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the non-applicant.
Perused the police papers.
Considering the entire material on record and the fact that the applicants who are the sister-in-law and her husband and are residing about 70 kms away from the house of the deceased coupled with the fact that the report has been
2 2760ABA397.17 lodged belatedly by almost nine days, I am inclined to confirm the ad interim protection granted earlier. In view of the aforesaid and for the grounds mentioned in the order dated 13-6-2017, the following order is passed:
ORDER
(1) The order dated 13-6-2017 granting interim protection to the applicants in the event of applicants' arrest in connection with Crime No.49/2017 registered at Police Station Channi, Tq. Patur, Distt. Akola, is confirmed. (2) In the event of applicants' arrest in connection with Crime No.49/2017 registered at Police Station, Channi, Tq. Patur, Distt. Akola, they shall be released on bail on furnishing a Personal Bond of Rs.15,000-00 (rupees fifteen thousand only) each with one surety in the like amount. The applicants shall attend Channi Police Station as and when directed by the Investigating Officer and they shall not take any steps to influence the prosecution witnesses. (3) The observations made in this order are only for deciding the present application. The same is allowed and disposed of.
